Synopsis
Poetry. Dot Devota's THE DIVISION OF LABOR, selected as the Editor's Choice for Rescue Press' Black Box Poetry Prize, tethers the eerie echoes of political and cultural rhetoric to a stunning and documentary peripatetic prophecy; topic sentences disclose dark histories and insurgencies are formed of storm and shame, vows and violence. It is not necessary to leave the country, warns Devota, The reader can recall their own behavior. THE DIVISION OF LABOR is replete with such counsel, among revolts against the patriarchy, love letters to the desert, assassins, witnesses, and an intense scrutiny of false systems. Author's note: This is a dated book about a woman trapped in a woman's body who finds the love of her life and watches a lot of news about war. Poems begin after she's repeatedly bitten in her sleep by a very sluggish and drab-looking insect called an Assassin. Welts form. An old woman from out of town gives her a handful of steroids. She continues to write love letters to a man. Later, they both decide to leave the country for Lebanon and Syria., Poetry. - v***4 (131)- Bewertung vom Käufer.Letzte 6 MonateBestätigter KaufPurchased 5 car Madison rail car set at auction. Received package well wrapped and in original box. Cars themselves are in excellent condition and mostly as described, although I believe they have seen some track time. That being said, seller offers returns so I'm confident seller was told these cars were new by whomever he got them from. The purchase price was excellent so when averaged with a higher than normal shipping fee it turned out to be an overall good deal.(D) #56W - Williams 43471 O Gauge Custom Pullman 60 Ft. Madison Passenger Cars (Nr. 146582810107)
- n***2 (298)- Bewertung vom Käufer.Letzte 6 MonateBestätigter KaufSeller responded quickly to my question before purchasing and the book is in great condition, basically "like new" except for some yellowing. I also appreciate that they don't put huge stickers on the books like a lot of the other big sellers. It was shipped quickly, arrived in 1 week, and pretty well packaged so there was no shipping damage (in spite of USPS wedging the cardboard envelope so tightly in my mailbox that I almost couldn't get it out). I'd definitely buy from them again.
