A Lovely Diversion
Typical British period drama that's good, but doesn't stand out from the others. It was charming but forgettable. Still great to have for my collection for those times I want to watch something of a level of quality without thinking too hard. (And if anyone has a copy of the board game in the opening credits, please sell it on eBay - too gorgeous not to bid on!)

A realistic visit on the way things were then.
Historians tell us that life was much this way as enacted. I had the feeling that I was there with them. It seemed so realistic. It takes a super writer and acting to convey the reality of those times. We will watch this again as it now is a part of our library.

Enjoyable
DVDs are in excellent condition. This was an exceptionally good series. Since it's no longer available on Netflix, I'm grateful I found it at a bargain price.

I literally just finished watching this show for the second time, I wish they continued the series it's absolutely fantastic! Thank you, this is my escape from reality when I need it!

Great BBC show
I love old time BBC shows and this dvd checked all the boxes for me even though they never made a second season which is a shame its still very good.
