It’s a heavy wool flannel. I don’t know what the smell is that’s about it, I’m guessing its the dye. While on the dye, it’s not done very well, their are spots on the sleeves where the dye didn’t fully permeate the fabric, so I’ve got these random dots on the coat. As for the fit, it’s good. It’s a wrinkled mess, so it will have to go to the dry cleaners, we’ll see how that goes.

There are no stitching details in the collar, and the buttons are plastic, not horn. It is very big for Medium.
