Don't expect heavenly orchestral sounds obviously, but perfect as a starter drum to practice on. The drum appears to be made of wood, but has vinyl wrap for anesthetics. Included drum sticks don't have a finish, but doesn't diminish the value.

They probably didn't endure any worse conditions in shipping than they will in a road case for live use. Enclosed in the package was a flier for other products by the seller. They caught my interest.
