Powerful router with very good features
I haven't tested all the features yet, there are lots of them. But the equipment seems to be very good. Definitely solved two problems I was having: 1. Poor signal inside my house and 2. Instability in VOD data transmission throughout devices in my home network. This router mitigated these problems and stabilized my home network (Internet) traffic. The management web interface is very friendly, I was able to set the network to start operating in a very quick manner. I really liked the way it organizes fast processes in widgets, like the activating (or deactivating) of guest network, for example. The router also covers already traditional features as bandwidth control, port triggering or application-specific setup. I really liked the flexible Ethernet cable it brought together inside the ... However, I think it would be reasonable to have two of them as part of the product, just to keep a minimum standard for home using. Although all these features, it looks like it is still a router made for standard home activities (following updated practices of nowadays, of course). If there's a need for a more robust home network or to support small servers, it's probably necessary to think of more powerful Linksys models. It's a worth buying piece.

WRT1200AC for DD-WRT
This replaced a NetGear FVS318G which had good hardware but flaky firmware. It would arbitrarily stop giving out DHCP addresses. I wanted to use DD-WRT, so although I didn't want Wi-Fi (I have a separate access point) I had to get a router with Wi-Fi that was DD-WRT compatible. This filled the bill. My only complaint is that it has only four LAN ports, but just about all current routers have that limit, especially Wi-Fi ones. I powered it up with original firmware (which is probably fine) long enough to flash DD-WRT firmware in it. That also worked fine. One of the other frustrations about the FV318 was how long it took to initialize (well over a minute). This one with DD-WRT is ready to play in a few seconds. A major improvement. It's appearance is a bit "consumer" for my application, particularly since that makes it a little bigger and bulkier than the other network devices in the stack. But the plastic feet do provide better air circulation, which is a good idea. I coexists with a cable modem, VPN router, two switches, a USB hard drive an ISDN modem (and a spare backup) as well as a video security controller and a Linux file server. The LAN also includes a Wi-Fi access point, half a dozen Windows and Linux computers, a LAN based printer, and a couple of Android phones so it is kept busy at times.

very good but not perfect
On the surface this router is as good as advertised with great features and simple setup instructions. However, the secure wireless features (WEP and WPA2) do not seem to be compatible with Android smart phones. I can connect to 2 web cams and a garage door opener using the 2.4G band and WEP. I am only able to connect to my Samsung S4 phone if I'm in the same room or use the open "guest" channel. I've tried 5G WPA2, and 2.4G WEP. I had no trouble connecting to my OLD WRT54G using 2.4G and WEP. Fantastic
Upgrading from my old Linksys WRT-54GL to the Linksys WRT-1200AC made a world of difference. The performance of all my WiFi devices have increased by over 50%. Speed test shows my download and upload speeds have increased by over 50%. No more dropouts or hangups. The stock firmware is excellent and easy to navigate. I highly recommend this router.

Good router for the price
I have this router on the first floor of a 2-story home and it has good coverage, though on my cell phone if I'm upstairs I get slower download speeds. When on the same floor I get expected download speeds (~60mb/s on a 60mb/s internet plan). The router was easy to set up and at only ~$70 it was a great price.
