    Works now, but painstaking installation

    Theoretically, it should be really straightforward to install, right? After learning how p-taps worked I got it all connected. Except, it was cutting in and out… After a few minutes, it reverted to radio/CD. After hours of playing around with the wiring, I caved and took it to a shop to have it professionally installed. They used a cylindrical sleeve to join the wires, more solid than p-tap, and 15 minutes after I left … it cut out. It eventually stopped working. It got to the point where I requested a replacement unit from Grom. When I swapped the adapters myself … it still didn't work. I took it back to the shop and after fiddling around, the connection seems stable now — it worked for 30 minutes straight, which was a first.
