    In the beginning..

    Starts at the same exact place as the Netflix series does. There are 15 books in the series and apparently (from what I've been seeing) the last 3 books will take place in 1 movie. That means the 5 seasons on Netflix spans 12 books! Can't imagine how much of the books were left out in the series. I've only just begun to read the book but can't wait to get time to dive in further!

    condition of product, not very good

    this is about the condition of the book not the content, the content is great i love it. but the condition of the book is very bad it looks like someone dipped the book in water, very unhappy with that because now it just feels gross to hold

    First book in a series

    Takes you back to 866 and the formation of England. Well written without so many characters that you lose track of who is doing what to whom. I did find the series on Netflix which helped me pronounce all of the names of the characters. The book is much better than the Netflix series though which is sort of slow. If you are an historical fiction fan, I would recommend this series to you. I am reading the second in the series now.
