Based on Rex Stout's series of detective novels, A&E's original series brings the curmudgeonly, agoraphobic private eye to life. Nero Wolfe (Maury Chaykin, BEING JULIA, A LIFE LESS ORDINARY) is not like other private eyes, preferring to remain within the confines of his New York brownstone, indulging in gourmet meals and tending to his extravagant orchid garden, rather than pounding the pavement. He makes his money--and quite a lot of it--by solving mysteries from home, making him the quintessential armchair detective; the legwork is done by his assistant, Archie Goodwin (Timothy Hutton, BEAUTIFUL GIRLS, 5IVE DAYS TO MIDNIGHT). Street-smart and charming, the dapper Archie can handle any situation but is ultimately guided by the near-omnipotence of his employer's genius. Goodwin supplies the narration of the show, with voice-over that captures the essence of the hard-boiled novels perfectly. This collection is comprised of all the episodes from season two, including "Die Like a Dog," "Poison a la Carte," "Help Wanted, Male," and "Immune to Murder."

    Fat Man & Little Boy - Detectives with that atomic vibe!

    Video is great entertainment. I've been a fan and have owned this series in a digital form I recorded on air. These dvds are so superior in video quality and provide a 16:9 screen aspect, that gives you that theater experience. Seller did a great job getting the dvd out and the packaging and original box was in superior shape.

    "couldm't be happier with this nero...nero"

    the dvd set arrived early and the dvd'z were like new...no scratiches on any of the the discs...we are more tha pleased with this seller and this product...well beyond our expectations.....and the price was fabulous...

    Nero Wofe The Complete DVD Second Season

    Love Nero Wolfe. Sad they didn't make more than two seasons! Light comedy,but great ensemble cast and stories were entertaining.

    The BEST Nero Wolfe and Archie Goodwin!

    One of the best things ever made for TV. I have owned the first series for many years but never got around to finding season two until now. Truly beautiful shows with a great ensemble cast. So glad I finally did this.

    Ecellent series

    This was an excellent series, the production values are very good and the stories and characters are engaging. As a fan of Rex Stout I enjoyed the series and wish it had lasted longer.
