Rain destruction on the Autobots with the Hasbro Acid Storm Transformers action figure. This devious Decepticon from the original Transformers Generation 1 television series comes soaring straight out of the franchise’s fictional universe to your favorite fan’s toy box or display shelf as part of Hasbro’s popular Masterpiece line of toys. This nine-inch robot toy boasts high details, an impressive amount of articulation, and a number of fun interactive features that really bring the character to life as an authentic reproduction of the villainous Transformer, in either his menacing Cybertronian warrior form or his sleek and lightning-fast jet fighter mode. Acid Storm made his debut in the Transformers universe in the Generation 1 episode “Divide and Conquer.” He belongs to the Seeker Class of Transformer, an exclusive group of Cybertronians who share the same basic build in both their forms, bearing a strong similarity to the infamous Starscream. Part of the cold and calculating Shockwave’s elite team of Rainmakers and gifted with the ability to control local weather patterns and form deadly acid rain, Acid Storm flies under the command of the evil Megatron. Time and again, this Transformer and his cohorts are employed to fly through the clouds above the battlefield, conjuring weather that proves deadly to Optimus Prime and his noble allies. The Deluxe Hasbro Acid Storm Transformers action figure has the high amount of quality fans of the Masterpiece collection will immediately recognize and appreciate, down to the finest detail. The included black plastic display case, sporting a detailed mold representing an artificial, mechanical landscape, prominently displays Acid Storm’s name in bright silver lettering, as well as the metallic, purple insignia declaring his faction in the fight to dominate the universe. A clear plastic removable stand fits on the base at multiple points, allowing the toy Transformer to be displayed in a variety of poses in either form. The underside of the base itself features a number of slots for storing Acid Storm’s various accessories. The bright, acid green Masterpiece Transformer is highly poseable in his humanoid form, with swiveling, multi-jointed arms, hinged fingers and ball-bearing thumbs to grip his deadly weapons and assume a combat stance. Acid Storm’s folding wings include a slot for attaching his plastic rocket missiles, and his chest plate opens to reveal clusters of additional missile launchers, making this one heavily armed Transformer. Like his superior officer Starscream, Acid Storm transforms into a deadly military jet fighter mode, where the exclusive Transformers Masterpiece edition really shines. Insert the “holographic” green pilot miniature into the plane’s opening cockpit. Open the fighter’s nose to reveal a hidden radar dish mechanism, or use the unfolding air brake and retractable wheels to bring Acid Storm in for an emergency landing.

    Acid Storm

    Been after an Acid Storm for a while now; very happy with it now that I have one. Transformation is the same as all the revised seekers, so if you're familiar with them, you'll know what to expect. Paint application was great; one of the more elaborate paint schemes in the Masterpiece series. I'm pleased overall with the Masterpiece line; thus far the only issue I've had with them is the high price; which is why eBay is a great place to find them for less than retail.

    Every serious Transformer collector should own one! This guy is iconic in the way he has been under the radar. Not in cartoons much, he is intriguing. Very good looking bot and jet as well!
