Doesn't work - and I'm not the only one to say so.
I'm sure some people manage to install and play this game successfully, but there are plenty of people who can't, and there seems to be little to no help from the developer for it. We have the correct technical spec on our laptop, but graphics are at best glitchy and at worst don't load at all. It would seem the complaints about needing a constant online connection had some impact in that there was a choice to play offline - but in that option, nothing worked AT ALL. So, disappointment all round. Sadly for EA my 12 year old was unsurprised, such is his experience of their games. I wish I had realised before buying.

City management or building
I bought this version as I used to play a previous version and wanted to continue the fun I used to have, building cities. Unfortunately this version seems far more concerned with running your city after you have built it. I used to enjoy the actual building process and the face that I could change the shape of the terrain to suit the buildings I wanted to put there. Unless I am missing something this doesn't seem to be possible in this version of the game. I like building cities. I don't like having the city do a lot of the building and then need me to run it.
