Intriguing title
Stylish mystery filled with suspenseful performances. Also great production and costume design. A tip of the hat to Agatha Christie.

As good as the novel by Agatha Christie
I am assuming this movie was made as close to the Agatha Christie novel as possible. If you have ever read one of her novels you know why the plot is so hard to decipher. The plot twists in this were marvelous. Very well done movie. I can watch this many times over and still not get bored with it.

Death on the Nile
Death on the Nile is much darker than the Ustinov version. This portrayal of the detective is not as congenial. When I first viewed it I didn't like it. However, after repeated viewings I have come to appreciate it. I haven't read the Agatha Christie story in some time. So I don't know which film version is closer. But this version stands well on it's own.

A must have film!
Kenneth Branagh is so engaging and unique in his portrayal of the inspector in this, and also in Murder on the Orient Express film! 2 thumbs up on both movies.

This is a very poor rendition of the original story
This version is not nearly as good as the older versions that were done years ago. It does not follow the book at all. People and many situations have been added or deleted that were in the book
