Unity features substantial updates to the franchise's combat, parkour, and stealth systems, and it includes a brand-new co-op multiplayer mode.<br><br>The Paris of Unity is rendered in greater detail than any city in the history of the franchise, with a true 1:1 scale, seamless building interiors, and AI crowds that can number in the thousands. Gamers use the updated parkour system to navigate this bustling metropolis, with new options to dash over, under, or around objects, and leaps into conveniently placed haystacks largely removed in favor of new controlled descents. Arno can blend in with crowds to remain anonymous, but the new crouch mechanic and the ability to take cover behind any object means players have more ways to stay hidden than ever before. If discovered, gamers can take advantage of a new combat system and employ a series of attacks, dodges, and parries to dispatch their foes.<br><br>Assassin's Creed: Unity features a customization system that lets players tailor Arno to their preferred play styles, with more than 200 items and accessories designed to improve stealth, increase defense, and upgrade attack power. The new co-op multiplayer mode exists alongside the single-player story and finds two-to-four gamers joining forces to pull heists, prevent executions, assassinate Templars, and take on a variety of other dynamic missions specifically designed to require the participation of a diversely skilled set of Assassins.

Item rec'd. I'm glad seller used a box, as I paid $8 for shipping, and the post office still crushed parts of the box and ripped corners open. Ridiculous treatment of a package. Item, miraculously, was not damaged, and is as pictured in the listing. At this time, I don't have the correct batteries to test it for myself.

The item was exactly as described and arrived quickly. The product box was packed a bit tightly inside the shipping box. There was no damage and the item itself was pristine, but since it’s made of thin wood pieces, I would have preferred a bit more protective packaging during shipping. However, in the end I got what I paid for fast and in perfect condition so I can't deduct any points.

Assassin's Creed Unity Review
I've played every Assassin's Creed game and they have their fair share of amazing moments with what can be considered clumsy controls. If you look at how much your character can traverse in the environment mixed with AI chasing you or timed objectives it seems slightly forgivable to have some controls to be inaccurate. I personally felt that Unity had less of these fumbling controls and more smooth animations with he parkour moments. Thats really what it all comes down to how much can you stay in control while dealing with objectives stealth or aggressive and still enjoy the experience. Unity had a lot of hiccups on launch day, I originally played a few days after and ran into none of the atrocities that were roaming around gaming websites and blogs. There are a few large patches to download but they make the experience much better over all so I really advise you update your game as soon as its in your console of choice. I played on the ps4 and was very impressed by the level of detail in the environments. Everything seemed very well crafted esthetically. There is a lack of a day/night cycle due to the extremes put on the hardware, so I assume the just chose the time of day and stuck with it to save on making the visuals as high as possible. You can see the difference in the newer AC Syndicate. For better or worse it does have a day/night but it seems to be taxing on the overall visual quality in my opinion. The gameplay such as combat takes a bit of getting used to. You never really feel like you've mastered it until you've put some hours into the game. It is a slower pace but it is realistic and brutal with finishers that are really cool. The story is decent enough, full of chase sequences and fun assassinations that span all of Paris. One big draw back which most reviews have touched on is the lack of french voice acting and accents. English accents litter the game's main characters and it just feels lazy overall. The acting delivery is on par with last iterations of AC and is very high quality. The world itself has a lot of replay value if you enjoy the core gameplay of running around killing bad guys and collecting items. I found myself not really interested in revisiting the story missions as much. The Coop is a huge feature which is the legs of this game. You can have friends or other players join in on a mission to assassinate a target and each player can utilize their unique skill sets to accomplish this in a fun fashion. I enjoyed this version of AC the most. Yes it is missing the grand sea battles of Black Flag, and thankfully the long intro with AC3. I found the main character Arno to be less annoying than Ezio. The game feels a lot like the first AC regards to it being scaled back to give you a great presentation with the addition of coop. I hope this review gives you a better idea of what you are jumping into with AC: Unity. Check other reviews, watch gameplay, rent the game or if you feel so inclined buy it.

I've played all the Assassin's Creed games up to this one. Unity is a bit redundant. The game play isn't as good as the previous AC's. This one is kind of all over the place. There are a lot of side missions as in all the previous ones, but this one seems to be all over the place. It's a bit chaotic. The main missions are OK, but a lot of the other ones get a little boring. The AI in this is also a bit predictable, it's not bad, but not the best either. If you played the previous ones, this one might be a bit disappointing, after comparing it to the previous ones. Good game overall.
It's a good game overall. The graphics are great, and the story is interesting, but the limitations of Arno leave me a bit frustrated. After playing Assassin's Creed 3, I miss some of the character's abilities.

AC unity is more based on assassination and coop. It is better visually and rich in game-play features. There are some glitches but the game run smooth and clean! Customization system and coop are the best!

Great game but...
Great graphics but terrible framerate and unresponsive controls. I imagine this is the reason why Syndicate has worse graphics even though it is a newer game. Story is nice. Also, Dead Kings DLC is free! Syndicate is a far superior game in every aspect but for ten bucks it is a no brainier.
