SynopsisMoore was a flapper and silent screen film star who commissioned a fairy tale castle in the 1920s at a cost of $500,000. Nine feet square by twelve feet high, it contains over 2000 miniature objects from around the world. This volume contains photographs of the castle and its garden.
This is a beautiful book! I would check out the original book about Colleen Moore’s dollhouse from my local library over and over again when I was a kid. Now I own both books and this newer version has more photos and info.
Quality book written by the Museum of Science and Industry. Very informative about the Fairy Castle and the lady who built it Collen Moore. Beautiful, color pictures. Highly recommended.
Beautiful close-up, detailed glossy photos of the fairy castle display in Chicago. If you like intricate crafted miniatures made with authentic materials, you’ll love the history of how this magical castle came to be.
