Combined shipping cost was a bit high for my liking (seems like the two items could have been put in a USPS flat rate box for cheaper).     Even tho the drives was DOA. And description stated that they do not accept returns. I was able to contact seller and was told to open a return. So I can send the bad drive back and get my refund. Thank you to the seller for understanding that things does happen. Also great communication from seller.     Macbook Pro 2011

    I removed my optical drive and replaced it with the old HDD. Then installed this SSD as my boot and main HD. Installation was easy and everything seems to be running smooth. Now I just need another one to replace my old HDD and try to set up a RAID 0. The reason why I did not give 5 stars is because in the box there is a link to install Crucial's Storage Executive software. While the actual SSD is compatible with Mac, the Storage Executive software isn't. It isn't necessary for the drive to function properly, but does have some convenient features that would be nice to have available. Other than that, I am very pleased and will be buying another soon.

    Awesome Device but......

    Makes your laptop computer run much faster.......definitely an upgrade that makes a tremendous difference.... works wonders.....but the crucial cloning software's complicated......tried it several times but encounter problems......no worries, go to youtube and look for an easier fix......what I did was: 1. downloaded a secure windows app in my 8gb flash drive;and, 2. after installing crucial X300 525gb HD, let your computer boot from your flashdrive and follow, follow, follow......good luck

    Just what my laptop needed!

    The speed difference is remarkable. Sips electricity so improves battery life. Lighter, so reduces weight, quiet therefore reduces noise. The list of benefits is impressive. I got the 525gb drive with discount and what a great deal. Crucial even provides a free copy and of Acronis True Image software. I had the new drive cloned and installed in about 30-40 minutes. A+

    Crucial SSD rocks!

    this SSD is very good. It is high quality with great warranty. Never had a Crucial drive go bad so I will keep buying them. works every bit as good as a Samsung EVO with out the price. I am happy with it and would buy again. I purchase the Crucial BX and MX drives for upgrade of laptops and desktops that come to me for repair or upgrade. Almost no unit leaves my shop with anything less than an SSD.

    Fast SSD

    This is a fast SSD that comes with a product serial for a full version of Acronis true image 2015. The HDD cloning software made transfer super easy. Now my old laptop boots in under a minute. I am very please with the performance of the drive vs. the price. Performance is snappy when accessing items on the C drive now. I show 462 GB total drive size after formatting it in NTFS.
