    B+W Filters

    Ranks right at the top of photographic filters, in terms of lack of distortion of the image! I never cease to be amazed at the number of photographers who spend big bucks on cameras and lenses, then use cheap filters with them! Remember the story about the chain and its weakest link? For me, filters serve two functions: filtering light, and protecting the glass of the lens. But I insist on as little distortion as possible! B+W is the one of the best!

    Works for me

    This filter is insurance against doing Bad Things to my lenses. Whether any UV filter works, as the packaging claims, the miracles with distant views or not is, for me, immaterial.I use the filter for protection. The Vivitar filter fits on my Fujifilm X-S1 and still lets me use the "tulip" sun shade. Win-win.
