A true story about a great Hall of Fame athlete, who developed amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) or Lou Gehrig's disease. Lou Gehrig was also known as the Iron Man of Baseball. ALS affects the motor neurons that control the voluntary muscles. of the body, eventually resulting in the inability to perform normal physical activity and resulting in death.
