      Great Album

      As a Big Steely Dan fan went to see a Tribute Band called Nearly Dan at the fleece and Firkin in Bristol. They were really good and included a few tracks from this album which it forgotten about. Brought the Album and find it’s incredibly produced and was very advanced for its time production wise. Couple of really catchy songs which you can’t stop playing but also a few fillers. That said it’s a Keeper

      What an album

      I bought this album back in the day on vinyl and played it so much I think I wore it out buying it again on cd I had forgotten how good it was think it sounds better now should be in every record collection must be one of the best albums ever!

      Light with some very dark clouds, ends well though

      The Nightfly should be in everyone’s collection, easy going but intelligent lyrics, there are the love songs and there are a couple of more edgy songs that infer violence by corrupt types in paradise, regardless of where the song is going the album is upbeat in a very cheesy 50/60’s America style, Donald Fagen is a master of understatement, this is made clear as the album only lasts 39 minuets and finishes off with a light hearted number to get rid of the bad taste lest by the menace of the penultimate song, it’s not The Dan but it’s just as clever and easy to love, show it some love and let it into your life, your ears will thank you for it

      Was it really so long ago I used to listen to this? It still sounds wonderful. Glad to have it back in my music collection.

      Evert track a gem

      Every track a gem. If you like the music of Steely Dan, you will love this album. It’s hard to believe it’s over 40 years old, it sounds so fresh, as though it was made last week.
