Product Information

A brother and sister on spring break from college decide to take the scenic route home--an endless, desolate stretch of road through central Florida. Along the way they are run off the road by a strange truck, and later they see its driver disposing of what looks like a human body down a drainpipe near an old church. Derry (Justin Long) convinces his older sister, Trish (Gina Phillips), that they have to investigate, and despite all better judgement, they do. That's just the beginning of this wild horror film, directed by Victor Salva (POWDER). Salva keeps the audience guessing by never settling into any particular style or formula. The film veers gleefully in all directions, referencing such classics as NIGHT OF THE LIVING DEAD, NIGHTMARE ON ELM STREET, SILENCE OF THE LAMBS, and even THE TERMINATOR, along the body-strewn way. There is no shortage of clever humor amid the shocks, gross-outs, and nail-biting suspense, and Phillips and Long exhibit a refreshingly believable brother-sister rapport. The supporting cast includes Patricia Belcher as a psychic and Eileen Brennan as an eccentric cat owner. Francis Ford Coppola is the executive producer.

Jeepers Creepers! A Cult-Classic Horror-Film! WARNING! You are reading a slanted film review, as I worked on this movie. I started the project as the "storyboard" artist, but quickly began drawing everything else in this really exciting & scary script. One very moody ink illustration of the "CREEPER" standing in front of the Cat-Lady's scare-crow so delighted the writer/directer that he promptly faxed the image to Francis Ford Coppla at Zoeatrope Studios. Mr. Coppla liked the image as well, and could tell we were onto something…. so much so, that this one illustration of the Creeper (along with Vic's brilliant script) fairly "green-lighted" the whole project! It's a very well written story; a brother & sister drive across a remote area of "Poho County" and encounter a menacing ragged figure that turns out to be so much more than it seems. This frightening roller-coater-ride keeps escalating, or as Victor (the writer/director) said, "We keep playing a higher and higher value card with each scene, ramping up the horror. Never play the same card twice, and always make the next card better than the last one." It's a finely crafted tale, that was made with hardly any money but mountains of "love" … love for horror films and monster movies. I think it shows. A great, spooky monster-movie! It never talks down to you. It always takes itself serious, never loosing it's fright value by going to a goofy tongue-in-cheek mode. Nope, its a real-deal scary movie yes-sir! If you want to know who I am, on this Blue Ray edition you can go to the "EXTRAS" and find the Making of the Creeper. I'm the young looking dude with the buzz cut the all the drawings, Really fun stuff, you won't be disappointed.

Jeepers Creepers on Blu-ray
These are great movies and finally have all three of these great original movies especially on Blu-ray I can't think of a better way of viewing these good movies and I highly recommend them on Blu-ray
