Leica SL Happy
A 2015 Mercedes is a very nice vehicle and so is a 2015 Leica SL camera. Both are a little dated, but both are really well built and still have lots of life left. A new Leica SL2 is about $6,000 and my used SL in great condition was about $2100.00. I decided the SL2, although a really nice camera, was not 3 times better. So then I put the $4000. into an used Leica 24-90 lens. Now I have a really nice Leica SL and a really nice Leica 24-90 lens for the same price as a new SL2 camera. I also bought a new Leica Q2 for a different experience and capability with a smaller size and 47 MP resolution. I feel I have a nice Leica kit. By the way, the Leica Q2 was my first Leica. Happy with my SL is an understatement...
Held off on purchasing an SL although it had been on my wish list since its introduction several years ago. My experience thus far is summed up in one word: outstanding. I am using my Leica M and R lenses with wonderful results. Peak focusing is a valuable camera asset particularly for someone with weathered eyes from age. I don’t need the added features of the SL2 for my type of photography. I did eagerly await the SL2s introduction to help make the SL more affordable. beautiful camera.
The Leica SL is not like any camera on the market today, Take your time and learn the controls, and the camera will reward you as being a very easy camera to use,, but only once you have learned the mechanics. Feels like the best built camera currently on the market. Captures images very nicely. Good c tones, really rich looking color. Well built camera that takes great pictures
The Leica SL is a great camera even though it's now six years old. It's has solid camera construction and built like a tank. The EVF is the best that I've seen and the image quality of the camera is excellent. I bought this unit used and it is now a (relative) bargain in the Leica world. It's in a different class than a M series rangefinder camera which I also own. Works great and easy to focus with the M and R lenses which is the main reason I went with it. best of the lot
very happy with purchase. Especially ease of use with manual focusing of M lenses (mainly using it with 21 Summilux, 35 Summilux ASPH pre FLE, and 75 Summilux, 35 and 75 six bit Leica updated). No issues with getting precise focus using joy stick magnifier and able to move focus point to desired location. Lenses are much easier to use than with MP-240, especially no fighting focus calibration issues or drift (bit a bit harder to focus when using small f stop with grainier image and large DOF making best focus more ambiguous). Took me a while to figure out menu system until I realized the rear buttons just skip to sections of menu item list. I am still using the factory defaults. Fantastic to be able to use the 1.4s with no ND filters in bright sun, if desired, with 50 ISO and 1/16,000 shutter speeds (don't have Noctilux, but that also seems to work with no ND based on other reviews). Image quality is great and printing to 12X18 with beautiful results (minimal cropping). Sometimes miss 42mb of Sony 7aRII though, but mainly for pixel peeping or for more extreme cropping. The 24 mb sensor should not pose a problem for most folks (speaking by someone who spent more for a Nikon 3DX to get 24 mb a few years ago!).Bestätigter Kauf: JaArtikelzustand: Gebraucht
