Anthony Bourdain's book, "Kitchen Confidential"
Great book, I listened to it on cd, and it was read by the author. I like Anthony's dry wit, sarcasm and knowledge of the culinary world. I wrote down his ideas for a perfectly suited kitchen with knives etc. and made a list of what I would need to complete my kitchen. I can promise that you will not get bored with this book, lot's of insight as to what you should and should not order in a restaurent, certain foods certain days of the week you should avoid. I think it would be fascinating to sit and have coffee with Anthony, I know under that craggy and tough exterior there is a soft egg underneath.

If You Eat Out - You Gotta Know This Stuff. Much of what is written (said in this case on CD's) rings true with me. I was in the Industry for over 20 years, it's like old home week. I don't miss it, however, there were some good times had by all ... and the winners were the Customers. Bourdain holds no punches back. So, get ready for the Bold, the Bloody and the Ugly Truth.

Story Time....
In his own voice and words.. Very clear audio and I think it is better hearing the book read by the man himself rather than just reading it myself. Lots of fancy culinary words mixed with off color remarks. CLASSIC.
