They are finely moulded and show all the mast detail, insulators and cables perfectly. Also, they are easy to fit. Drill a hole and fasten in from the bottom with the supplied wing nut and that's it.

Dapol - cheap and cheerful...
The Dapol masts are a fairly accurate representation of the Mk3b British catenary system. The masts themselves are plastic moldings and the details are rendered well, with the insulator suitably coloured. They are supposed to be used in conjunction with Dapol wires available separately. This masts are however easily damaged and you will find you will no doubt end up replacing quite a few as time goes by from the occasional knock or hit. Also the Dapol wires are totally ineffective for the job, offering no resistance to pantographs which sees them generally unclip from the mast, or they break too easily as well, with the added issue that they do not seem to take solder either. The solution is to use the wires from the Peco system, with a little adaption to the ends these will clip onto the Dapol masts, they look better they are stronger and they will allow a pantograph to run on them. Overall, they are a cheap way to get catenary on your layout, but buy plenty allowing for breakages and use the Peco wires for the best effect..

Dapol catenary masts OO gauge
The masts look well made and are not to flimsy. I’m not using wires on mine they are just part of the overall scenery. A 4.5mm drill is required to make the correct size holes and they are supplied with plastic wing nuts to bolt them down. Broken
