And storage too
I have always been pleased with the disks which do not ever misfire like some other brands. The added bonus is the spindle can be used for storage. I have well over a thousand disks so storage could have been an issue.

Complete and utter waste of time, money, effort.
Total garbage was shipped to my house. Unmarked merchandise arrived not in original packaging as shown but arrived in clear unmarked cylinders. Approximately 75 percent of the dvd-r's would not burn and when I attempted to contact the seller by telephone to work out a solution I found that the telephone number for Joe's Warehouse Outlet is no longer in service. Theft by deception.

Good price for good quality
Verbatim is still the top brand to buy (in most cases) except the media produced by CMC Magnetics. These disks I just bought were made by CMC and it is quite easy to see the quality difference. CMC Mag media is not recommended for long term storage but are good for movie backups for everyday use.

Verbatim "Life Series" DVD-R discs - Thumbs DOWN - Poor Quality - Defective
Will never buy Verbatim "Life Series" blank DVD's again. They cannot be read from after being written to, either on a PC, or on a set-top DVD-R. According to many opinions on the Web, all of these discs are just plain defective from the factory.

Verbatim DVD -R
Since I no longer live near a Fry’s or MicroCenter I searched eBay and found this great company. Actual Verbatim DVD’s in the proper packaging. $12 cheaper than my local stores. Just encoded and burned a DVD successfully. Will buy again.

Very few corrupt DVD's.
I have noticed with other brands of DVD's there is always a few discs's that are corrupted or unrecordable, I have to throw them away, with Verbatim I have very few bad disc's and my information always comes out fine.
