Flaking painted letters
After submitting my first review paint from the compass dial lettering started flaking off. A day after the watch arrived. Cheaper than usual price now apparent. I spent more money for a "Forever watch" for my teenage son to signify his maturity. He was disappointed about the defect but loves the features of his watch. I think the reason for discounted price should be disclosed in description as not suitable as a gift.

Tide watch
Pros: good compass and tide clock fairly easy to use. Cons: Tiny tiny figures. Pointless temperature function. Poor back light. Could be much simpler and should have had a race timer instead of a temperature function as it is clearly a sailing watch.
