Renato! presents Renato Stillamare's life story on an enlarged canvas, beginning some seventy years before his actual birth. The first part presents a captivating and often hilarious genealogy (beginning in 1860 in Sicily) of his forebears, including their subsequent immigration to America in 1903, and the occasion of his own "rebirth" in 1930. Part two, set in 2000, recounts his personal and professional tribulations, often comical, as an aging painter attempting to reclaim his reputation in Boston's art world and to rescue his unconventional marriage. In the final part, set in 2013, the painter is confronted by the sudden loss of his beloved wife, Alba, and must decide whether life is still worth living. The result is a fictional tour-de-force, a life-affirming and enchanting portrait of the artist as an eternally young man. The larger canvas stretches from 1860 to the present, and from Sicily to Massachusetts. I contacted seller and they apologized, refunded me and suggested several things to do with the book after allowing me to keep it. I have gone ahead and ordered a hardcover from the same seller. I’m a repeat customer and hope to remain so. This mixup was a first, but I’m very impressed with their prompt response and professionalism. Kudos :)

I sell books on eBay and when I do they are usually wrapped in bubble wrap and then with paper bags I obtain from stores and then I use good tape. I get lots of positive reviews for my secure wrapping. This book arrived in thin plastic with no padding. Yes, this was a good price, arrived quickly, and as listed . You get break on postage, use some of that savings for better packaging
