BEST EVER LITTLE KNOWN FILM
This is one of the best movies I've ever watched and definitely the very best in the category of little known films. Everyone I recommended this film to have also raved about it. Great character development, great story, excellent acting , suspenseful and no gratuitous sex or violence. All this and a surprise ending

I'm surprised this film is not better known. An under the radar surprise. One night in a busy restaurant. Conflicts between the Father (the owner) and the Son (Chef) are just the start. Great actors portray a variety of customers. From Food Critics to a cop and his wife, an Art Dealer and his entourage, and a couple of shady characters - and more. A great concept executed with excellence. The acting is top notch and Direction is terrific. Check this film out. I promise it'll engross you and make you very hungry!

realistic view of New York city
filmed in my old neighborhood in the city realistic view of how things are done in Manhattan I' wouldnt call it a mob movie these two characters called black and blue would end up sleeping with fish thr mob would never condone these slobs danny aiello is great actually the entire cast excelled a great movie dont.miss this one godfather quality

I'm an Italian cook/ chef
With a Father just like the character played by Danny Aielio. I thought I knew everything. But found out I didn't. We were not involved in A mafia extortion but my Dad does Have "his" table. I thought the movie was great. John

Dinner Rush movie review
A true cult movie. Danny Aiello is superb. A behind the scenes look at how a first class restaurant works day by day, with a little mob flavor thrown in. If you have ever worked at a restaurant, this movie will bring back memories. If you ever cooked at a restaurant, this movie may bring back nightmares.

Worthwhile
A little different plot and pacing but in a good way. Follows the unities of time and place--in a limited time and in a limited place. Makes for more realism and intensity.

An excellent movie
This movie possibly flies under the radar for some film fans, I really enjoyed the acting and storyline, which has just enough backstory for the main characters, and a wonderful performance by Danny Aiello.
