Excellent dvd! Made me laugh and cry.
I love this movie and also the book. The characters were described so well. Very true to life feelings about love, death, loss, and insecurities. I have to say that the book was better, probably because there was more room to expand the characters’ storylines. The scenery of Ireland was gorgeous.

Looking forward to seeing this movie!
I'll be absolutely truthful. I have not yet watched Circle of Friends. However, it is based on a book written by Maeve Binchy and the character development in her books is simply wonderful. I have watched movies based on some of her other books, and they were very good. I expect no less from Circle of Friends!. Barbara

Friends grow up and grow apart
I'm so glad I was finally able to find a copy of this on DVD. This movie is one of my favorites, because of the excellent, lively characters and the beautiful setting. You get both the country and the city, and there's a lot of interpersonal drama between the characters.

Saffron Borrows and her cheekbines
This has been one of my favorite movies for years. The story is about friendship but very lightly touched on serious social issues. At no time does it ever stay long in the bad things though because like I said....cotton candy.

Just like I remember :)
Just what I wanted. For whatever reason, this movie is out of production and very hard to find at a decent price. I’m very happy that I was able to make this affordable purchase. The disc works great! It brings back so many childhood memories.

Read the book and skip the movie!
You don't get a good feel for the characters. It really doesn't acknowledge the ties between Benny and Eve. It makes Nan much more of a friend than she really was. Jumps around too much. Glad I read the book first. Big fan of Binchy's book Circle of Friends but not if this movie.

Good value!
After reading the book "Circle of Friends" I wanted to see the movie again but couldn't find it streaming anywhere. Was glad to be able to get this DVD and watch it.

Explores dark subjects with gloss over intent
I loved this movie as a teenager. It was Minnie Driver's first large scale film and it's fantastic! I was so excited to actually purchase it on DVD.

Great movie
