BEWARE!!! The Sony XM5 headphones I received are FAKE. The listing was misleading; when they finally arrived, I compared them to another set I own, and the leather is different, appearing cracked and has a bad smell, they don’t connect to the Sony app like it should, the carrying case doesn't match the right color or style, it doesn't respond to the hard factory reset button commands that it is supposed to, and it is missing the serial number. Seller stop responding once I called all this out.

Fake Sony MX-5, received mine today and quality is different from the one I already own. Packaging is slightly off. Sony logo on front is larger and print in the back is black and blurry not sharp and grey. Does not pair with Sony app. No serial number on inside of left ear piece. Too bad other review was not up when I purchased.

This item is completely FAKE! There is no serial number and the sounds quality is absolutely horrific. The item does not work well. The item does not connect to the Sony app either. The user lied about the shipping time too, it took a whole week longer than it was supposed to. As you can see, on the left headphone there should be a serial number and other numbers but there are none.

Such Versatile Sound, Everyone Will Love These
Wow my ears have never heard headphones sound this good for $250. They have a very wide range/soundstage and tons of versatility for all types of music. If you're looking for a lot of bass these have that option that can be added and adjusted through the app EQ and bass boost feature. If you're looking for a more balanced sound signature this comes pretty neutral out of the box, perhaps a bit warm but at no cost to the mid and upper ranges. I would say these are hard to beat at this price, especially if you can only have one pair - these are just so versatile for so many different types of music and so many easy-to-use controls in the app. The physical construction is nice but I was not impressed, it's plastic and a little cheap-feeling in the hands but it looks fantastic on the head ... Overall, worth the $259 USD. It's a 30% discount off in my eyes.
Looks like new, feels like new. There were no oil prints on these headphones, nor any other feature that could've gave that it was used away. What's included is the headphones, two wires (USB C to USB A; 3.5mm to 3.5mm), and the case. The packaging was nice and secure; the headphones had really no way of getting crushed with the air cushion surrounding the case. There is no manual, but that's ok. The manual can be found online. There were no issues with pairing as I just made sure to charge it before I tried anything. The sound is nice, and there are no issues with the speakers inside. I did not try the microphone, but I had a quick preliminary test and seems to pick up noise at the very least. The noise cancelling is good. I live next to a main street, and I can, by miniscule ... The only thing I dislike is that the sound increments are too slow to move. It's also right-dominant, and it doesn't seem to be able change controls around. The mechanical parts of the headphones are fine too. Smooth in and out of the earcups and the turning of them. Overall, worth the $259 USD. It's a 30% discount off in my eyes.

Lightweight and comfortable with awesome sound quality
Very comfortable and awesome sound quality. The battery life is also quite good. I'm not sure of the exact numbers, but I've used it for a decent number of multi hour sessions already and it's only down to 50%. I know I already mentioned, but the sound quality is something else, even compared to other Sony Bluetooth headphones I've had. To be clear, I'm not an audiophile in anyway, but these headphones let me hear new depth and richness in the music I listen to while not being artificially skewed too much towards low or high sounds. My one very minor complaint is that the "Talk to Chat" feature is too easy to accidentally enable, and it is not clear to me how to disable it again without having to disconnect the headphones, connect them to my phone (if that wasn't the device being used at ... Love these headphones!
I love these headphones! The Noise Cancelling (NC) feature is amazing. It's as easy hitting a button to switch the NC off to hear ambient sound (AMB). It does kind of amplify the ambient sound though, so be aware of that. They're very comfortable. I've used them on flights and they were life savers. I feel like getting another pair for my wife, especially since she travels from the US to Hong Kong annually. They are a bit on the expensive side, but you pay for what you get and these are definitely worth the cost. I would highly recommend these headphones!I love these headphones! I bought this for my adult daughter, a single mom who is working full time and going to school to give her kids a better life. She loved it. It's great for focusing when she has coursework or tests to prepare for. She loves how its lush array of microphones allow her a nice transparency when needed to take phone calls or deal with issues that need her full attention. She loves the deep black of the active noise cancellation. It's lightweight. It doesn't fold as compactly as the WH1000XM4 but the tradeoff is not having to worry as much about durability as there are fewer joints in the assembly to snap.
