I've purchased and used the barrel dampe...
I've purchased and used the barrel dampener before. They definitely work on a .22 rifle. But you have to dial in the ammo you are going to use. If you are going to use different brands of ammo and different velocities, you will have different results. Stick with on brand that works best for you.

Works like a charm. It's my fourth.
Followed the included instructions and it does improve groups. I'm getting 1/2 MOA with 16 inch barrels and 1/4 MOA with 20 inch stainless. Got to find its sweet point by sliding it up and down until tighter groups show on paper. Then go hunt. One shot, one kill. Sorry hogs.

When precision counts....
Whether you are an avid hunter, competition shooter, or a recreational enthusiast, this unique device is paramount. For those that are not familiar with its function, here is further summary. Any barrel regardless of length vibrates like a tuning fork once a projectile passes through it. The longer the barrel, the greater the vibration. If you once determine the, "sweet spot," as the package mentions it will all but stop those vibrations. This is the same principle as placing a finger on both tongs of a tuning fork. This item helps whether its a cold bore shot or subsequent follow up shots. Preventing barrel resonance is especially important on today's modular rifle designs that have tubular, key slot, or otherwise skeletonized furniture.

It is what it is
I bought this hoping to get decent groups out of my weatherby vanguard s2 Sporter 7mm08. It made no difference some rifles are just no good, but on a good note I learned to not buy weatherby rifles anymore. And I will have this around to try on some of my other rifles. I think it may help some if your rifle is already accurate, but won't do much for a 2 moa + gun

Limbsaver De-resonator
These deresonators really work! Start off 1.5" back from the muzzle, fire two shots for group, move the de resonator back 1/2" at a time, firing two shots at a time, moving the De Resonator back in 1/2" increments. Groups will shrink. Record increments and corresponding group size. Various bullet weights may need an adjustment. Get ready for a shock in the accuracy!

Cut my group size in half with Ruger 10/22.
This cut my ten round group size in half for my Ruger 10/22. It was able to fit over the front sight with some effort. The de-resonator needs to be tuned to the barrel. I started with the de-resonator all the way back to the stock and moved it 3/4 of an inch froward for each 10 round group until the group size got to its smallest and then started to expand again, then moved it back to the optimum spot. The de-resonator can only be used if you are using a scope or red dot because it will likely block the view of the front sight. I used a scope and bench rest.

I can see a positive result on a finicky gun I have. I can tune reloads to the barrel vibration.
