has shortcomings
The newer large link band gets surface wear quite easily gets cloudy, - not good, you may want to factor in the cost of a different band. The thing that gets everyone all hot and bothered about this watch is the dial it really is great looking. The case is really thick and heavy and at just 44mm is oversized. The older watches used to have a larger case and a smaller dial within that case, also the older watches were lighter weight and had more attractive traditional looking bands. So we all want to think of this watch as the re craft that they call it but it really isnt, that dial though, wow its a real head turner!

Perfect
The watch was in new-in-box condition, complete with tag and protective tape along the band. Love the classic look, love the size, and it keeps perfect time. I doubt it’s water resistant (the crown doesn’t screw in, it just pushes closed), as the original write up said, but otherwise I am very happy.

Seiko SNKM 97 recraft watch
Excellent watch. Similar to 70"s Seiko 5 which has stood the test of time. Speaking of time, the watch keeps accurate time. See-through back is an attractive cosmetic feature. All-in-all the watch is very good value for the money.

Retro styling in an emerald green!
Love the retro styling! This is an amazing emerald green color with gold accents. Nice density to the weight without feeling cheap. A great bargain for this price. It’s a Seiko...what else can you say?

I love it!!
The green is mesmerizing. While I was waiting on delivery, I obsessed over finding a new strap because I'm generally not a bracelet guy but after wearing it for a few days I might just let it be. If it had lume and hand winding/hacking (as noted by many others) it would easily be my favorite watch.

Modern Vintage Styled Watch
Photos do not do justice to the green dial, it is amazing. The metal bracelet is a lot nicer than I expected. I purchased a black rally strap with orange threads and accents which goes quite well with the watch as the second hand is orange. Great watch.

Disappointing for a Seiko
There is absolutely no luminosity despite what is stated the product description. The hands are too small for the watch face and hard to see except in regular light. the most disappointing factor is that there is very little reserve time for the watch to run once it is taken off. The watch is rarely running when I go to put it on again. Really disappointing for a Seiko product.
