    I had started to get a a bit worried as it was six days over the estimated delivery date. The box arrived a bit battered but the internal packaging was very good and the item survived the journey - there was even an extra item I hadn't expected. The lens is fine and in very good condition. I would have liked some contact sooner when the expected delivery date was passed, but all turned out satisfactory and I am very happy

    The seller didn’t ship on time. After the delivery deadline, I asked for a refund, but they shipped it anyway. I messaged them daily saying I’d be traveling and couldn’t receive it, but they kept asking me to wait and didn’t answer my questions. I also asked where it was shipping from to estimate delivery, but got no reply. The name of the seller was “Awesome Electronic UK,” and now changed. The product arrived and a person who works in my building received it.

    Fast & Compact Olympus 17mm f1.8

    A nice compact lens giving the equivalent angle of view of a 34mm lens on a 35mm sensor/fillm. Maybe not the sharpest wide open at f1.8 but so useful to be able to get that extra light in. Works well on my basic Panasonic G10, Micro Four Thirds (MFT) mount. The focus ring has end stops at close focus and infinity or pushing the focus ring forward allows infinity turn and auto focus capabilities. Annoyingly the manual focus ring goes past infinity which makes it a little harder to judge distances on the focus scale. No manual iris ring, aperture controlled through camera. The focus is electronic, no mechanics, so pulling focus in video mode is a little unnatural where the focus snaps in if the ring is moved too fast.     Excellent little lens

    I have been replacing my Canon lenses with Olympus since switching to mirrorless and wanted this general purpose wide angle prime to complete the range. I bought it as "nearly new" from speedyguns for almost half the list price and when it arrived it was to all intents and purposes brand new. In use it is very fast, very lightweight and ideal for street photography. It has a manual focus ring which is operated by simply sliding back the ring to expose the distance scale, but in practice I use the autofocus as it is so fast to lock on. I also have the 45mm f1.8 and would say that this is easily as good. An excellent buy - highly recommended.

    Good quality walkabout all purpose lens.

    Good all-purpose walk around lens. Small and light, good image quality. I have the 12- 40 mm zoom which covers even more shooting situations, but is a big, heavy conspicuous lens to carry about. Recommended.

    As clear as my Pentax primes

    As a Pentax user I am used to really good lenses. This one was a nice surprise. I bought a micro 4/3 camera as a convenient carry around but, with this lens it has become my main camera. Perfect all round lens at roughly 35mm equivalent its does the jib for arty shots, landscapes and portrait. Really clear high quality pictures straight out of the camera.

    Great little lens to have on your camera and be ready for action

    Even though it was pre owned, it was in mint condition. Super fast auto focus on OMD camera. A great little lens.
