Buggy software
This software is very buggy and difficult to use. My husband and I spent many hours trying to transfer 4 or 5 VHS tapes to the DVD-R's and for each one we transferred, we went through at least 2 to 3 new DVD-R tapes. If you can not get the recording to start on the 1st take, the DVD tape is wasted and you have to pitch it. So we started out with about 25 blank DVD tapes and wound up pitching about 10 or 12. I would not recommend this software. Again, it is very buggy. We did not buy the extra software to help in the quality of the video and good thing we didn't. Simply not worth any cost when you have such a hard time getting it to do what it is supposed to do. And I rarely leave bad reviews. Sorry Roxio. This software is very buggy and difficult to use. You Must Have Patience
After downloading software, go to Roxio site to update this product. Do not follow directions in box booklet. Chat with tech support & ask for their direction sheet. Be sure to use DVD-R disc NOT a DVD-RW. I found it easiest to upload the VHS to my computer (not directly to D-drive). Watch the file size! Then I was able to burn it to my DVD & send it to my Google Drive for sharing. A learning curve for sure!!!After downloading software, go to Roxio site to update this product. Easy Transfer
Roxio Easy VHS to DVD 3 Plus is fairly simple to use. It installed quickly and once I attached the VCR to my PC I was transferring the video to DVD in no time. Unfortunately the VHS tape was recorded with a hand held movie camera and the video was then transferred to a VHS tape and now I was transferring it to DVD. The quality was not the greatest but the capture to DVD did not lose any more quality. You get about 1 hour of video at highest capture quality to a standard DVD. I am satisfied with the product and would recommend it.Roxio Easy VHS to DVD 3 Plus is fairly simple to use. There's definitely a learning curve with this software. Once you finally get everything figured out, you may still wonder if you're doing it right and if there isn't an easier/faster way. The instructions are limited to installing the software - the rest is accomplished through trial and error. You also need to be patient and have lots of time to do the digitizing. But with all of that said, it does work and it's so nice to be getting my old videos digitized so that I can share them with the family.There's definitely a learning curve with this software. Once you finally get everything figured out, you may still wonder if you're doing it right and if there isn't an easier/faster way. The instructions are limited to installing the software - the rest is accomplished through trial and error. You also need to be patient and have lots of time to do the digitizing. But with all of that said, it does work and it's so nice to be getting my old videos digitized so that I can share them with the family.

Really impressed with this product, does what it says it does!
Love the product, does exaclty what I bought it for. Taking my old VHS tapes and converting them into a digital format before they go bad. Very easy to use and highly recommend this product!
