Obviously just an issue after it had shipped. Sent photos of everything and the seller kindly refunded me.

They were quick to respond with a replacement and, apologies about this. Received the new one quick. Same thing, no alignment guide... dust free or otherwise. I guess it's not available in my model phone. Freehanded it on, like any other kind of protector, with some help from some plastic corners (available on ebay!), to help with alignment. Went down o.k.
