BIG EVENTS (tiny comedy)
Season 20 had major goings on. Internet trolling (and the response, the threat of revealing everyone's online postings) brought the world to the brink of WW3.
It just wasn't funny, wasn't entertaining, except for a few (very few) moments.
Gerald B blasting Boston's "Smokin'" while he anonymously and joyously insulted people online. Mr. Garrison lighting up a cigarette and doing obnoxious stand-up at a campaign event.
That's about it. Not much else worthwhile in ten episodes.
I thought Cartman with Heidi as his girlfriend would have made for a great season, but Matt and Trey were too busy with the bad action movie plot to have fun with the characters.
Member Berries weren't funny in the first episode and by season's end, they made the show unwatchable.
Add to that countless references to Star Wars. It's like they were actively trying to make the show unbearable to get through.
I bought Seasons 19, 20, and 21 one after another and after watching two of the three, I regret the purchases.
When South Park started, it was character-driven, extremely funny, but now it mirrors current day Hollywood films. And that's not a good thing.
