The HP AP860A is a 600GB large form factor (LFF) SATA hard drive that works with the P2000 MSA array system. Many computer users prefer LFF hard drives due to their capacity to hold more information. The RPM number indicates how quickly the hard drive spins. Speeds lower than 15,000 RPM do not offer the same level of performance, such as when transferring files and saving documents. A serial attached SCSI (SAS) interface enables this AP860A drive to transfer files at speeds of 600 Mbps.
