    Transcript was packaged nicely, and while it took a few days before it was shipped, it got here pretty fast! It came exactly as it was shown in the pictures. As a fan of Great Courses material this was a good find for a good price, since most of these transcripts for older Great Courses are hard to find and are more expensive. Nonetheless, good seller!

    How St. Paul founded Christianity

    For someone who knew little about the New Testament (that would be me), this course was an eye opener. Apparently the New Testament is as historically dicey as the Old Testament, if not more so. It appears that religious belief is faith based, because it certainly isn't based on provable history. Anyone who thinks that Christianity has much to do with Jesus Christ will find this course disturbing. It would seem that St. Paul turned the teachings of a nice Jewish teacher into a world wide religion. The how of this is simply fascinating even though totally perverse from an Old Testament standpoint. One must wonder why an omnipotent, omniscient being (that would be God) would change everything that had been related to mankind for several thousand years. I guess that is where faith comes ...

    Great couse and great teacher!

    Twenty Four 30 minute lectures on the history of Jesus. There were many facts about Jesus and the early Christians I didn't know. Professor Ehrman is a fantastic. He has won awards for his teaching. He makes the difficult much easier to understand. Highly recommend this course!

    Expanding the scope of the New Testament

    One cannot go wrong with the lectures of Professor Ehrman. He enlightens you through his lectures and expands your scope of the New Testament through its many contributors and their purposes and meanings. He goes far beyond the Sunday morning church sermons.
