I've hiked three times since then and they remain very comfortable and stable. I didn't appreciate the lacing system until the other day. I was hiking and the shoes felt a little loose. I reached down and tightened both shoes in seconds! I've worn both Merrel and Columbia shoes before and these are right up there in quality and fit.
