Flipper Critters is a pinball game starring a number of colorful, cartoon-like animals in a variety of themed environments. While the game offers traditional pinball elements such as flippers, ramps, bumpers, and sinkholes, each 3D "table" is designed like a world, with trees, castles, mountains, and varied terrain spanning both screens. There are missions to undertake on behalf of certain characters and a variety of arcade-style mini-games to explore in between locales. One of the more original features is the ability to interact with the environment to help influence where the ball travels. Instead of tilting or nudging the machine, for example, players instead use the stylus to adjust ramps or to activate switches. Wi-Fi support is also included for head-to-head action against a friend.
