      1986 MR2 AW11 Transmission Shift Solenoids

      I had erratic shifting problems in my A/T AW11 (A240E transmission), and after ruling out just about everything, these shift solenoids prevented me from having to rebuild the tranny. My reverse still doesn't function properly without a hard rev to catch the gear, but I'm sure it's something else. All forward gears now smoothly operate after installation, with a throttle position sensor adjustment, as well as checking the timing on the engine. I'd highly suggest this purchase before rushing off to get a transmission rebuilt. The solenoids were smaller than the ones I'd removed from the transmission, but I figured I'd give it a shot anyway. They come with several different brackets, so of course you want to choose the ones that fit best, as you most likely have different hardware in yours, ...

      A140E Number 1 and 2 solenoids

      Parts came quickly with phone number to call if you have questions. Installed new solenoids and it fixed my transmission issues. I have a 1990 Camry that was having problems downshifting. When driving in order to get car to down shift, I had to manually move the shifter to 1st, 2nd and 3rd. Removed both solenoids in the transmission. Now transmission works like a champ. Would highly recommend these parts if you are having shifting problems. The parts came with several different brackets to insure figment. No problems installing.
