Praise for Linda Chaikin's previous novels: Praise for Yesterday's Promise, Book Two in the East of the Sun Series "Prepare for adventure, romance, and intrigue in nineteenth-century South Africa. Linda Lee Chaikin has done her homework, exploring the world of diamonds and goldmines in the land that would become Victorian Rhodesia. A page-turner of a story told by a veteran novelist." Liz Curtis Higgs, best-selling author of Thorn in My Heart "Linda Lee Chaikin never fails to deliver a dynamite story! In Yesterday's Promise she weaves the complications of love and history into a storyline that is a sheer joy to read. I can't wait for book three of the East of the Sun series!" Diane Noble, award-winning author of Phoebe "I love, love, love this series by Linda Lee Chaikin! It has everything I'm looking for right now in a good readmemorable characters, intrigue, believable romance, fascinating history. If the third in the series was out, I wouldn't be writing this...I'd be squirreled away, reading!" Lisa Tawn Bergren, best-selling author of Christmas Every Morning Praise for Tomorrow's Treasure , Book One in the East of the Sun Series "Tomorrow's Treasure invites the reader to look closely at God's fatherly care for his orphans and widows, particularly those whose families were martyred on the mission field.  An engaging historical novel!" -C. Hope Flinchbaugh, author of Daughter of China "Absorbing human drama, intriguing mystery, heart-pounding love interests, a dramatic settingthis novel has it all, including a good message expertly woven into the greater story. I can't wait for Book Two!" Lisa Tawn Bergren, bestselling author of The Captain's Bride "Adventure. Intrigue. Romance. Settle back for an enjoyable read. Tomorrow's Treasure is as old world as the setting, yet as contemporary as the human heart." Kathy Herman, bestselling author of The Baxter Series "Linda Chaikin has created a wonderful page-turner with this engaging historical novel. Her sense of time and place is exquisite, her characters so real they seem ready to step right off the page. This is a story rich with conflict, triumph over adversity, and wondrous testimony to God's grace. Your heart will sing as you read." Synopsis
She gambled with her husband's trust. At stake is-everything. Evy Varley's marriage to Rogan Chantry is all she had hoped it would be-until she finds out that she is pregnant with a honeymoon baby. Fearing that Rogan won't allow her to travel while she is expecting, Evy plots to keep her pregnancy secret in order to accompany him to South Africa. Her thoughts are not only for her husband, but Evy is determined to travel to Bulawayo, the new mission station of Dr. Jakob van Buren-the one man who can help Evy to finally clear her mother's name. After she and Rogan set out to sea, however, Evy discovers that she has gone too far in her deceit, and the damage to her marriage may be irreversible. Matters only worsen in Africa, where malaria, murder, and an African uprising all take their toll-and where Rogan and Evy must fight not only for their love, but also for their very lives., She gambled with her husband's trust. Unfortunately I received a damaged book, the item and the package both were damaged and it was clearly evident its appearance that it happened during transit. The seller was very understanding and gave me a full refund for the damaged book, though it was no fault of their own. Other than the damage, the book was as described, the quality and condition aside from the damaged spot was like new. The cost of the book was reasonable. I would definitely purchase from the seller again.

Although this book was not as described, with no picture of it in the listing, the seller communicated well and quickly gave me a full refund while letting me keep it. The minimal packaging left the book a bit vulnerable (typical for ThriftBooks), but it did arrive safely and timely. As usual, it’s hit or miss with this seller, but often times you can get great values, and their customer service is always very good. Many other sellers with millions of transactions don’t even communicate.

I recently purchased an item from this eBay seller, and I couldn't be happier with the experience. From the prompt communication to the fast shipping, everything was handled with utmost professionalism. The item arrived exactly as described and was well-packaged to ensure its safety during transit. The seller was courteous and responsive, making the entire transaction smooth and hassle-free. I highly recommend this seller to anyone looking for quality products and excellent service.
