The Alarm Siren is robustly build and and easy to replace, just plug & play really. The only downside is the non-replaceable backup battery. A shame that VAG makes this as a throw away item.

Second hand siren
Used part but quite late so battery's still work. Although for audi a1, fits golf mk5. The batteries leak on early ones, hopefully the problem has been fixed on later "c" prefix model.
