    Great World War One drama

    Excellent film! I felt that this was a beautifully-made and completely believable wartime drama. The lead characters are wonderfully portrayed. I loved the fact that I could watch the whole DVD (originally in two episodes) back-to-back so that I didn't lose any continuity. I found it both gripping and poignant. (Update to my original submission, which I sent before completing it!j

    Hello there the film Birdsong is based in France[AMIENS] is about the WW1 is name is Stephen a young Englishman whom arrive in Amiens to stay with this aristocrat family and fell in love with the daughter of the family the begin an illicit affair but the relation end ,years later Stephen is serving on the western front in the area where it met the girl it fall in love it battle the horror of war of the trenches and it meet JACK expert on digging he tunnel help him to endure /ravages of the war ,excellent film i don t no much about the WW1 but it was called the great war with both side loosing so many soldiers thank u very much regards

    Just watch it

    I read the book which I loved and felt bereavement when I finished it so the film was the next step. It was brilliant

    Read the book after viewing the film

    Was a bit disappointed watching this just after reading the book. There is so much more to the book and some of the best bits were left out of the film. Suggest watching the film first and then read the book.
