    Great value for the non-specialist user

    A heavy base and robust fixings to fix the large-faced dial. Accuracy and Resolution seem fine for the jobs I intend to use it for viz. saw blade runnout etc. This item would probably not suit a project with fine tolerances, spend a lot more money for that

    Hated the 'one-knob does all'

    Slacken one kob and the thing falls apart on you, everything changes position. I know that some machinists like these, but not for me. Like most 'tools' of Chinese origin, they lack attention to detail and can often be greatly improved by a little reworking.. The base on my sample was not machined true so it would rock when locked onto a true flat surface, which also impaired the holding power. Once machined true (they are soft steel) the holding power was greatly improved and so was the reliability of measurement.

    excellent quality.

    This stand is excellent quality for price. I am building motorcycle wheels with new spokes and testing runout with this stand and gauge and find it excellent to work with. Next job for it is to line up crankshafts so it is saving me money on these projects. Over all a fantastic piece of kit. Easy to mount and use.

    good piece of workshop kit

    The dial gauge is sensitive and accurate , easy to read scale,Mounts rigidly to the stand - good for testing disc runout which I bought it for .

    Absolutely perfect for checking brake disc runout in our business. This is a replacement for the last one that was pinched! Excellent, brilliant, exceptionally priced too! You won't be disappointed with this product.
