Film Classic
I know this film from many years ago and I think that it is a classic. There have been two remakes to my knowledge but I still believe that this is the best version.

Great Classic Film
To me this is a classic. The actors who play the variety of the characters who make the story, the way the film portrays the book by Thomas Hardy, the glorious Dorset scenery. What's not to like?

A wonderful film.
A classic film and superior to the later version. The cast are all wonderful and the scenery of Dorset looks beautiful. A wonderful interpretation of this fantastic book by Thomas Hardy.
