Worth reading even for those not particularly interested in the Civil War.
A great story. The writing stye was confusing at first but after a few chapters it started to work.

Beautiful historical fiction
Wonderful book of historical fiction based on true events around the tragic battle of Franklin, Tenn.! Compelling story that is very well written. I highly recommend this title.

Recommended to time travelers.
Great story! Perhaps some of the facts were fictionalized, but the story of Carrie McGavock is compelling and heart-wrenching.
