This captivating biography, told in language as colorful as Reeves's career, grabs readers with an 1884 gunfight, then flashes back to Reeves's early life and continues until his death.     Great read. Didn't put it down til I was finished reading this compelling, true story of someone who to me is on the same level as Bechwourth!!

    I read a book about Bass Reeves a couple of months ago and it was just okay. This book goes into more detail and gives you such a strong sense of who this man was.
