don't trust the suction cups
bought this for emergencies but when i opened it up i kept thinking "where are they suctions cups to draw out the venom"? you have to use the yellow plastic container parts. they may work fine, i don't know, but i did a test on my arm, while being calm i applied a suction cup and it seemed ok to use but I WAS IN CALM STATE HAVING NO EMERGENCY! if you were by yourself and got bit by a poisonous snake and this was all that you had to use i'm not so sure you could get it to work well for you esp if only being able to use one hand and are in a panic state!. but then again, some help is better than none at all!!! I purchased a better snake bite kit and advise others to do the same. hope this helps!

Snake 1st aid
I travel the canyons in Arizona and Utah. You never know if one of these critters are around the corner and - BAM. You've been bitten be a snake 🐍. Hasn't happened but I figure better safe than sorry. This is a great kit. It's small and compact. There are detailed instructions as to how to treat a snake bite wound using this kit which is complete for its purpose out on the trail. Good buy.

Hope I never have to use it.
These are quite good. Had one of the original snake bite kits. The original had a small scalpel which this new Coghlan's does not have. It does however have a vial of iodine. That's good. Comes with good instructions also. I purchased 2 of these. One of them was missing the constrictor band / "tourniquet". So I improvised and put in a few feet of cord that I had laying around. I would advise anyone with snakes and possibility of being bitten to have one of these. I put mine in my fishing tackle box. Hope I never have to use it.

Thankfully haven't had to use it.
So I can't give a review based on anything than it's a cool little suction cup or thinga-ma-jig that's a nice quality feel to it, i'm sure it'll work out well if it's ever needed

Compact kit that goes anywhere.
Great hard to find kit to take along camp. More uses than only snake bites too. Everyone should keep one of these kits in there med pac!

It is nice to be prepared for anything
I thought it was a good value to get it and have it on hand and I'm hoping never to have to use it but we're going to Africa so it's nice to have on hand

Nice just to have.
Keep this in my truck since i am always outdoors in the Colorado mountains. Better to be safe than sorry!
