Harrison Ford carries it.... still OK movie.....
This is an interesting, twisted take on marriage, affairs, emotions, and mistakes. Harrison Ford always gives a believable performance, and though I like his leading lady, I felt like her heart wasn't really into the part in this film. Perhaps, if the script spent a little more time developing the characters, it would be easier to understand where they were coming from in their reactions...... BUT...... I have to keep in mind that this was a 1999 film and things were different then. Sydney Pollack's direction was a bit lacking..... sort of focused on the death that should have propelled this movie into a really interesting examination of emotions resulting from it. Instead of exploring those emotions and bringing them to life, they are continually plunged back into some 'death bog' that never allows them to live in the present. Anyone younger than about 60 would scoff at the lack of 'technology' and 'security'...... at my age, it was an enjoyable journey to a time when things were more relaxed and people were less defensive.Bestätigter Kauf: JaArtikelzustand: Gebraucht
