The positives of the negative display
I have an older atomic solar G Shock with a positive display and this one syncs with the atomic clock better--it has done so every night since I bought it. I agree with the other positive comments about great functionality and comfort--love the bracelet. I'd like to say more about the negative display since it gets so many negative comments. It is true that one often has to find an optimum angle to view it in various lighting conditions. But if seeing the time at a quick glance at almost any angle in any lighting situation is of prime importance then neither kind--positive or negative display--is the right watch for you; there are many other types of watch that do this better. There are even aspects of the negative display that are better than the positive one. For example in the dark near ... And the positive display is static whereas the negative one shines differently depending on the angle and light source. It's more visually interesting. True, this may not be the watch to wear to a candlight dinner, but if you had your heart set on it you can always turn on the auto-light function.

Strength and Honor
I have been wanting a 5610BC for a while now. I finally went ahead and pulled the triger on this watch and I couldn't have been more happier that I did. This Stealth Gshock look is something that not everyone will love but I find it a step above the normal and thats what I was looking for. The Combi bracelet that comes with this watch made the purchase even more special as this was really what made me start to look in this direction. The weight balance of this watch on your wriste is so perfect that you will not want any other kind of band on your watches moving forward. Then when you mix the ability to solar charge your watch and have the absolute perfect time measurement in Atomic then you solidify what perfection is in a watch like this. Great watch
At first I was a bit hesitant because I usually use automatic watches, but I had a few Casio in my childhood and wanted to buy something I could use every day and this G-Shock caught my attention with band 6, solar technology and negative display. I have to say that this watch is nearly perfect, the bracelet is so comfortable that you can barely feel it on your wrist, the radio frequency sync feature works great in Toronto, Canada. I guess the only con I can think of, which isn't a big deal for me, is the negative display, some times, in the wrong angle, it's pretty hard to read, but as a solar watch this is expected as the LCD is not as close to the cristal as in battery models. Great functions & bracelet.
This square G Shock is loaded with functions that are very useful for most users. It is easy to operate and set up for atomic clock synchronization. The solar charge is long-lasting and worry-free. The bracelet is sturdy, comfortable, and easy to adjust. The links are each held together by small spring-bars just like the type that fasten straps/bracelets to the watch case. My only complaint is the negative display. It is not as easy to read as the standard GW-M5600 or DW5600BB (all black model with negative display). I swapped the bracelet on my GW-M5600 standard display model and have contemplated selling this negative display model. If you are looking for a negative display square G Shock and don’t need the solar & radio controlled time keeping, consider the DW5600BB for a lot less money ... Possibly the best all around G-Shock
It's an awesome watch! The combi bracelet is brilliant and should be offered on all models. The radio reception is excellent, I don't need to even have it near a window to get radio reception to Ft. Collins (I'm about 500mi/800km away). The solar is a useful feature and keeps its charge easily. I don't have a problem with legibility in low light or the sun, so that's nothing to worry about.
