Included are the first eight games in the series, from the NES' original Mega Man through the first "Anniversary" release, 1997's Mega Man 8 for PlayStation and Saturn. This 2004 collection also includes ports of two Mega Man arcade games never before released in North America. In addition to the comprehensive collection of the Blue Bomber's early career, the 15th Anniversary Collection contains original Mega Man artwork and an interview with the series' producer. Capcom's Mega Man Anniversary Collection lands on store shelves just before a companion compilation for Game Boy Advance.

A Great Balue With a Few Issues.
This item is great if you do not want to fork over all the money to buy the original mega man titles. I purchased this for $18.00 instead of paying hundreds for the older nes versions. The good side of this game is they allow you to save after beating bosses in any title. This was not provided in the originals. Some would complain stating the save feature makes the game easier. However, I would say it is a must if you do not have a large amount of time to go through each level in one sitting. I also believe the save feature was not provided in the earlier versions because the technology was not advanced enough to provide the game save. This is what we have on all of our games today and should be there. I do have three problems with this game and all of them have to do with controls. First, I do not like how the a button is fire and the b button is the jump action. It is confusing and takes a while to get used to. Even after getting used to it, I still stumble with the controls in times when stressed out or going through a challenging part of the game. I do not like Y button which allows mega man to rapid fire. This is actually a good thing that I guiltily admit I do use at challenging points. However, it should not be there since it makes the game easier. I also do not like that the Z button pauses the game instead of the start button. I do not understand why the controls were chosen the way they were. However, purchasing this item is cost effective. It takes a while to get over the controls and enjoy the game. If you are a mega man, this game is totally worth the price.

Mega Man Anniversary Collection Review
This compilation disc contains some of the best and most difficult platform inch games ever made. Mega Man 1-6 (from the NES), 7 (Super NES), and 8 (PS1). Awesome music, challenging yet fun gameplay, cool level and enemy/boss design. These games are true classics

Great games bad controllers
Has a great collection of classic megaman games but the shoot and jump buttons seem backwards and hard to use with the already hard games. Not able to change button configuration kills an otherwise great game collection

A blast from the past!
My son loves it. Gamecube was around before he was even born, but all those vintage games are his jammm. He plays this everyday. It arrived in perfect condition.

Great game and prompt delivery
I used to own this back when it first came out on GC so I knew what to expect. The game was complete and in great condition. The delivery was fast as well.

Don't waste your money.
The idiot who compiled amazing set of games flipped the shooting and jumping buttons, rendering the game unplayable. Capcom makes such great games -- but their ports just plain suck.

Great game
Been busy haven’t had much time to play it but I finally have gotten to and it’s amazing. Always wanted to play all the original mega man games.
