Social and Military History contained in short eye witness accounts.
This book was selected by Jo Brand as her favourite book on a BBC TV show about books. Eye witness accounts of events in history, covering more than 200 years. Most accounts are just 2-3 pages long. Great for dipping into and giving a mixture of Social and Military history.

Interesting genuine look at history
I bought this as a present but I'm hoping I'll be able to did into it. My recomendations are from Jo Brand on Between the Covers on BBC 2 (Ithink) - I thought it would be an ideal present for my brother.
